Build a Fire Wall

A spiritual fire wall separates/protects your life from the lies.
Firewall Layer #1 Salvation
Colossians 2:6-14 (NIV) 6 So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, 7 rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. 8 See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ. 9 For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, 10 and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority. 11 In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not performed by human hands. Your whole self-ruled by the flesh was put off when you were circumcised by Christ, 12 having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead. 13 When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. Fire Wall Layer #2 The Word
John 8:31 (NIV) 31 To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
To Know the Truth is to be Transformed by the Truth.
Romans 12:2 (NIV) Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
A practice is a method/manner.
A rhythm is time and place.
By making that practice and rhythm muscle memory wins out over changing moods and circumstances.

Prayer is a line of communication we didn’t pay for but get to take advantage of.
Fire Wall Layer #4 Worship
Worship cements my faith and celebrates my freedom.
Keeping the Sabbath Sacred is a central act of Worship.
The first 4 commandments of the 10 Commandments are focused on worship.
You shall have no other gods before me.
You shall make no idols.
You shall not take the name of your Lord God in vain.
Keep the Sabbath day holy.
Worshipping together in one place was established by God as far back as Abraham and Moses.
Worship isn’t restricted or limited in this building but it is grounded, nurtured and launched from here... together! Public worship in here propels my private worship out there.
Psalm 84:10-12 (NIV) Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked. 11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless. 12 Lord Almighty, blessed is the one who trusts in you.

Ecclesiastes 4:12 (NIV) – Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

I crush the creep when I share my life and my faith with those outside of my life and my faith.
